15:16:04 <chwido> Have a good meeting, don't bark too much!
15:16:17 <itchka> #item 1
15:16:29 <itchka> #topic Release Report
15:16:51 <itchka> Ok I'll do this one
15:18:31 <itchka> Hopefully after the glibc glitch we are back on course. TPG and I discusssed what to do about nsswitch.conf which caused all the trouble and it was decided fro remove (noreplace) from the spec for this file.
15:20:39 <itchka> This means that when updating the original nsswitch.conf will be backed up and then replaced with the new one. This was generally felt to be safer than having a script that would sed the existing one to ensure that the passwd and group entries were sensible.
15:21:56 <itchka> Those who modify this conf file will still have the opportunity to compare and update the file from the backup made if they wish to restore any local modifications.
15:23:23 <itchka> This strategy should avoid any further issues with glibc
15:25:40 <itchka> The KF5 libs and applications have now been updated and testing can now commence.
15:26:50 <itchka> I don't know whether anyone has tried booting the latest iso's but for me there seems to be a kernel issue.
15:28:31 <OnlyHuman> / a bedraggled wet onlyhuman and woof woof enters/
15:29:03 <itchka> Been swimming :)
15:29:35 <itchka> Hi Steve
15:32:20 <itchka> The release notes etc need updating for the upcoming release as TPG has requested on the forum.
15:32:37 <OnlyHuman> hi Colin, poor dog got filthy , as had to take shelter in garage where car was being looked at
15:34:41 <itchka> Finally we need more people to do testing on the kde stuff as we need to release it all as a block. Anyone with some time out there please as for an account on khinah and you can vote on packages you've tested.
15:36:57 <itchka> Lets move on to reports section.
15:37:05 <itchka> #item 2
15:37:16 <itchka> #topic Reports
15:37:59 <itchka> There's no one to report of 2a and 2b.
15:38:33 <itchka> Pharaoh_Atem: Don you have anything new on dnf?
15:45:28 <itchka> I guess that's a no
15:47:01 <ben79> or a "not present"
15:47:40 <itchka> indeed :)
15:48:24 <itchka> lets move onto AIB
15:48:32 <itchka> #item 3
15:48:59 <itchka> #topic AIB Any Interesting Bugs
15:49:20 <itchka> Got any you want to raise awareness on?
15:49:41 <itchka> ben79
15:50:24 <ben79> Any progress? on:
15:50:24 <ben79> Chromium version is getting rather old
15:50:24 <ben79> https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2217
15:50:24 <ben79> kate/kwrite only edit as sudo ??
15:50:24 <ben79> https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2220
15:51:30 <itchka> 2217 I can probably deal with. It needs to be done before the next release
15:56:19 <itchka> 2220 Is a difficult one I'd favour it but I met with a negative response from others. It the old command line superieority behaviour bit like emacs versus kate
15:57:11 <Zombie> Can I bring something to everyone's attention?
15:57:36 <Zombie> OMV uses some Variant of Samba 4, right?
15:57:48 <itchka> I wonder if we could have some separate rpms which would cater for those who like editing as sudo with these apps.
15:58:37 <Zombie> itchka, Samba 4 in AD mode can determine who is and is not a sudoer according to sssd.
15:59:04 <ben79> itchka: let's leave kate, kwrite, and dolphin as is and if someone want to patch them to run as root that can go in a seperate repo?
16:02:44 <itchka> That makes sense it's probably not a big deal to do it.
16:03:46 <itchka> Is that it for bugs ben79?
16:04:27 <ben79> There are some new bugs as well
16:04:49 <itchka> fire away
16:04:52 <ben79> I'll leave that for everyone to look at and select what they may want to work on
16:05:42 <ben79> Look here: https://issues.openmandriva.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=__open__&list_id=37986&order=Importance&product=Openmandriva%20Lx%203.0&query_format=specific
16:05:55 <itchka> Ok there are no deal breakers then.
16:07:08 <itchka> Be nice to fix some of those not able to install bugs
16:07:15 <ben79> No not this week
16:07:44 <itchka> Ok thanks Ben
16:07:46 <fdrt> hi
16:07:56 * ben79 New i586 and x86_64 glibc package stack for testing: http://abf-downloads.openmandriva.org/3.0/repository/x86_64/main/testing/
16:07:57 <itchka> hi fedya
16:08:24 <itchka> ben79: good
16:08:50 <itchka> fdrt: We are on AIB
16:11:10 <itchka> Ok lets move to the last item
16:11:20 <itchka> #item 4
16:11:40 <itchka> #topic AOB Any Other Business
16:12:03 <itchka> The floor is open for anyone to raise a topic.
16:14:50 <ben79> We need more people testing packages. Sign up for account here: https://kahinah.rxu.tech/
16:15:04 <ben79> It'll use your github account too
16:15:40 <ben79> We need more testing of i586 packages and ISO's or we should stop supporting it IMO.
16:16:30 <ben79> People with i586 hardware need to test i586 packages and ISO's... Or else
16:17:09 <itchka> It will be deprecated by the next release
16:18:07 <ben79> Good.
16:18:16 <itchka> Just installing the new glibc if I disappear you'll know it's bust :)
16:18:56 <ben79> ¡Ay, caramba! You should restart your computer for glibc
16:18:56 <itchka> y
16:19:47 <itchka> Oh alright if you insist :)
16:21:02 <itchka> Looks like it works
16:21:25 <itchka> ben79 :)
16:21:41 <itchka> I'll reboot now.
16:22:01 <ben79> ¡Ay, caramba!
16:22:03 <ben79> $ rpm -qa glibc
16:22:03 <ben79> glibc-2.26-6-omv2015.0.x86_64
16:22:08 <ben79> Works here!
16:22:17 <itchka> See you soon
16:37:27 <itchka> New libc with KF5 update. Looking good so far. Wonder if kmail still works?
16:38:31 <itchka> No chance... her we go again
16:47:04 <ben79> Look at what some smart aleck did: https://forum.openmandriva.org/t/help-needed-with-package-approval-process-aka-kahinah/1413
16:47:49 <ben79> And: https://forum.openmandriva.org/t/new-glibc-libc-package-stack-available-for-testing/1412
16:48:10 <itchka> Who is tyhat bloomin smart alec :)
16:48:59 <ben79> itchka: New glibc work for you?
16:49:49 <itchka> ben79: Yeo it's ok but systemd seems to have some delays which it didn't have before.
16:50:15 <itchka> Maybe it soing some extra stuff
16:50:15 <ben79> If it does I'm sure we'll hear about on the forum...
16:50:48 <ben79> The nsswitch.conf file is different, don't know what effect that might have
16:51:39 <itchka> Kmail/akonadi is broken for me. It starts up ok but trying to view the contents of an email is impossible.
16:54:29 <ben79> I'll take a gander at Kmail when I get some time. testing it is time consuming so it may be a day or so...
16:55:13 * ben79 rebooting again
17:08:33 <itchka> #endmeeting
