16:49:58 <chwido> You should add extra chair(s) just in case, with #chair nick.
16:49:58 <chwido> Have a good meeting, don't bark too much!
16:50:06 <itchka> #item 1
16:50:31 <itchka> #topic Release: Briefing about delay
16:51:21 <itchka> As most of you know DIscover was discovered to be broken.
16:51:28 <itchka> :)
16:51:48 <Pharaoh_Atem> for cooker or for 3.0?
16:52:27 <Pharaoh_Atem> because I knew it was broken in cooker
16:52:48 <itchka> For 3.0: So at that point we were quite a long way down the line of updating the web browsers so it had become sensible to delAY FURTHE UNTIL THAT WORK WAS FINISHED.
16:53:17 <itchka> delay further till that work was finished.
16:54:53 <itchka> We now have Chromium 60.1 with mp3 enabled thanks to fedya for that one (patent has expired) and hopefully very soon we will also have firefox 56.01
16:57:04 <itchka> All the fontrendering issues related to qt5-webengine have now been fixed also the rendering in both firefox and chromium-browser stable are also now ok. No patches have yet been applied to Thunderbird.
17:00:03 <itchka> We have a new glibc fedya: Was tehre any reason why you didn't build glibc-2.26-8 for x86_64?
17:01:54 <christann> I am running glibc-2.26-8 here. Was updated this morning.
17:03:38 <itchka> christann: How strange only the i586 version is showing in kahinah
17:03:54 <itchka> The main this is that it is built.
17:04:25 <ben79> glibc-2.26-8-omv2015.0.x86_64 here
17:04:57 <christann> rpmdrake shows glib2-2.26-8.
17:05:03 <itchka> Ok found it lost in the crud.
17:05:31 <ben79> 3122
17:05:34 <itchka> They weren't grouped as a pair
17:05:55 <itchka> I'll ditch the old ones
17:07:23 <ben79> chromium browser seems to only be x86_64?
17:07:41 <itchka> The other one is building
17:09:11 <ben79> Yeah for i586!!!
17:10:22 <itchka> Correct. Is there a problem?
17:10:38 <ben79> so when we get Firefox we are ready for release?
17:13:53 <itchka> I have only one doubt and that is chromium pepper-flash I not sure whether that should be updated. There is also the question of the wine rendering patch; apparently the latest freetype causes it to crash. I have the patch and started to try to build locally but haven't had time to finish it.
17:15:41 <itchka> Firefox should be ok but for some reason abf will not install teh source rpm because of dependencies but it's not saying what the dep issue is.
17:19:18 * jbj heads off
17:19:30 <itchka> Good luck :)
17:26:00 <itchka> I can't even find out the current version of pepper-flash
17:31:34 <itchka> found it. Our version is way out of date
17:32:39 * ben79 I got lost what happened?
17:33:39 <itchka> Not a lot I have just discovered that chromium-pepper-flash is way out of dat.
17:33:59 <ben79> pepper-flash should be an easy one but wine probably won't be...
17:35:36 <itchka> I can sort out pepper-flash
17:37:24 <itchka> and probably wine I ahve already done the patch
17:38:38 <christann> Does thunderbird need to be updated?
17:39:13 <itchka> I have one other concern. I am unable to install virtualbox on my system. I have only just discovered this when I set out to test i586.
17:39:35 <itchka> I'll install it and take a look
17:40:32 <itchka> ben79 says it looks ok on his system
17:42:10 <christann> Looks okay here.
17:42:17 <itchka> fond rendering in thunderbird seems fine on my system
17:42:24 <ben79> I don't see a problem with Thunderbird but I also don't see a problem with Firefox
17:43:54 <itchka> ben79 I suspect the problem only shows up with fonts that need rendering correction.
17:44:27 <itchka> O changed from noto to vera and the problem went away.
17:46:38 <itchka> looks like I fixed wine just need to push to abf and build
17:50:31 <itchka> I'll build locally again to be sure as it doesn't look like the patch applied.
17:57:47 <itchka> I think that's about it for the rlease discussion. If we are lucky we may be able to get it out for the weekend.
17:58:24 <itchka> We need to update the release nortes to reflect the changes and remove the note about font rendering.
18:00:49 <itchka> ben79: Can you see to the release notes. It hink we should mention glibc if we have versionsed it and the kernel. I'll fix up the blog post
18:01:26 <itchka> Let's move on.
18:01:26 <ben79> yes, what kernel version goes on the ISO?
18:02:00 <itchka> I guess it will be 4.13.7
18:02:07 <ben79> OK
18:03:11 <itchka> Lets move on.
18:04:19 <itchka> I'd like to discuss the future of 2014 but I'm not sure that this is the best time to do it.
18:05:18 <itchka> lets do item3 for the time being that is if there is anything to report Pharaoh_Atem
18:12:28 <ben79> dnf is ready to use?
18:12:46 <ben79> or is cart before horse?
18:13:38 <itchka> There has been good progress but I'm not sure it's ready yet
18:14:08 <itchka> Pharaoh_Atem : ping
18:17:38 <itchka> Looks like he's busy.
18:17:48 <itchka> ben79: Got any bugs?
18:18:37 <ben79> https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2234
18:18:42 <ben79> https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2236
18:18:47 <ben79> https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2237
18:19:04 <ben79> those are all previously discussed
18:20:03 <ben79> 2237=login screen hang 2236=Update packages request: LXQt 2234=nevermind for now
18:21:18 <ben79> Actually maybe we haven't discussed 2236=Update packages request: LXQt here but it is something I think also like 2234 for after release and release party and then rest period for all participants in release
18:22:12 <ben79> And the one I haven't filed a bug report on yet: https://forum.openmandriva.org/t/qualcomm-atheros-ar9485-plugin-missing/1465
18:24:14 <itchka> 2237 looks like hardware. I remeber looking at omdv-bug-report and seeing it was quite an ancient Radeon.
18:25:26 <itchka> They were always problematic. I may be able to debug this because I think one of my boxes has this as the built in m/board graphics.
18:25:34 <ben79> Giorgio has a work around for it now and it may not get any better than that then
18:26:13 <ben79> unless you can debug it that is
18:26:17 <itchka> It's certainly not worth spending a lot of time on.
18:26:30 <Pharaoh_Atem> itchka: not much
18:26:43 <itchka> The lxqt thing is more worth it.
18:26:55 <Pharaoh_Atem> as it turns out the evr thing is because it's parsing the rpm dependency strings and those have to be manually chunked :(
18:27:00 <Pharaoh_Atem> so the rpmlib functions don't work
18:27:31 <itchka> Blast thats a bblow.
18:30:25 <Pharaoh_Atem> I need to port over an API from rpm.org to omdv rpm5 as well
18:30:34 <Pharaoh_Atem> so that's something on my bucket list too
18:32:09 <itchka> Ok Pharaoh_Atem: We will leavit there for now.
18:33:42 <itchka> Guys I'd like to draw the meeting to a close now. I've spent most of the day in the hospital and I'm pretty knackered. We will have a longer meeting next week. Hope that's ok with you all.
18:34:57 <itchka> I assume there is no presing AOB
18:35:33 <Pharaoh_Atem> that's fine
18:37:08 * ben79 for Lx 3.03 Release Notes I guessed it will be Firefox 56.0.1?
18:37:30 <itchka> Go for it ben79 :)
18:37:43 <ben79> already gone
18:38:10 <itchka> :)
18:38:19 <itchka> #endmeeting
